Wesley Sneijder Is Not Leaving Real Madrid

~

Wesley Sneijder will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer if he has any say in the matter, his agent has stated. The Dutch playmaker is one of several players named on a list of stars that the new Bernabeu administration will be looking to offload to fund their spending spree. But Sneijder does not want to leave and his agent, Soren Lerby, has insisted that his client is keen to see out the next four years of his contract with the Spanish giants. "Wesley has a contract with Real Madrid until 2013. He is happy with los Blancos and therefore has no intention of moving," Lerby told reporters in Germany. "There is nothing true [about Inter]. No-one from Real Madrid has called me to discuss such a thing, so for me it is something that does not exist." Sneijder was linked with a move to Inter as part of a swap deal that would see Zlatan Ibrahimovic go to Madrid, however, that transfer appears dead. The 25-year-old joined Real Madrid two seasons ago and has enjoyed various runs of consistent form in the team, but he has yet to win over the fans.
