Tottenham Rebuffed By Atletico Madrid Skipper Maxi Rodriguez

Atletico Madrid have received some good news from their skipper Maxi Rodriguez, who has made it clear that he is fully committed to los Colchoneros despite reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The 28-year-old Argentine international is said to be one of Harry Redknapp’s top targets this summer, but Rodriguez insists he is happy to stay at the capital club. “We will have to see how everything goes,” he toldMarca when pressed on the rumours linking him to Spurs. “I still have a year with Atleti but you have to see what happens. “I am very, very happy there. When I arrive for pre-season I will do what the club wants me to. “I do not care about the rumours regarding my possible exit. I am confident in my position and I am going to play.” Rodriguez's current deal with Atleti expires in 2010, but the club have not yet moved to offer him an extension.
